Sent the applications. Heard nothing back?
A free evening in Perth on what local employers actually hire for, and where your applications are going wrong.
For IT graduates, career changers and aspiring network engineers
Straight answers from someone who's hired, trained and been there.
I've spent 19 years as a network engineer and I'm based here in Perth. I run Netlabs365 and a YouTube channel that helps people break into networking.
I do this because early in my career, someone took a chance on me and helped me get my start. This evening is me passing that on: what Perth employers actually look for, and what I'd do in your position.

Fatma Mohamed, CCNA Bootcamp"The tutor is very patient, consistently answering questions and making complex topics easy to digest."
Enock Bett, CCNA Bootcamp"I would highly recommend Netlabs365 to any aspiring network engineer who is serious about building strong technical fundamentals and accelerating their career in networking."
Wilson Ndlovu, CCNA BootcampNobody talks about how it actually feels.
Months of study. Dozens of applications. Silence, or another automated rejection. It's exhausting, and it's easy to start wondering if you're good enough. You probably are.
Frustrated
You studied, got the cert, fixed the resume. You did your part, so why does it feel like the rules keep changing and nobody will tell you what they are?
Doubting yourself
Each rejection chips away a little more. You start second-guessing what you know, and wondering if you picked the wrong career altogether.
Left behind
Classmates and friends post new roles on LinkedIn. You're happy for them, but it stings, and you can't work out what they have that you don't.
Anxious about the future
The time and money you've invested is adding up. Every month without a role makes you wonder how much longer you can keep going.
The rejection isn't even the worst part. It's not knowing why.
One evening that replaces guessing with a plan.
Clarity
- The skills and certifications Perth employers are really hiring for
- Which ones to chase first, and which can wait
- Where a realistic first role actually sits for you
Confidence
- See what you already have that counts more than you think
- Learn how to talk about what you can do, not just what you've studied
- Meet people on the same path, so you know you're not the only one
Know exactly where you're going wrong
- The common mistakes that quietly cost people interviews
- What hiring managers look for in those first few seconds
- Straight answers to your own questions, not generic advice
Relaxed, face-to-face, and honest.
A live catch-up, not a lecture. Come straight from work and bring the questions you've been sitting on.
The Perth market, as it is
Which skills and certifications local employers are asking for right now, and what that means for where you start.
Are you Candidate A or Candidate B?
Why some people get interviews and job offers while others hear nothing, and how to make sure you're the candidate employers call back.
Your questions
Open floor. Ask about your situation, your resume, your next step. No question is too basic.
Stop guessing. Come and find out.
It's free, and it's face-to-face. Leave knowing what to focus on, what to fix, and what to do next.
